Homing our cats
We require that people wishing to home our cats complete our comprehensive Homing Questionnaire (HQ). These capture information that in our years of experience is essential to matching people’s requirements and personal circumstances to the right cat for them. We also have an uncompromising obligation to our cats to ensure they are homed in safe, loving and caring environments that are appropriate to their particular needs. Data captured includes contact details, property and garden details, family details, existing pets and cat experience, work patterns, lifestyle and hobbies.
Volunteering Role
We have a Cat Cuddling volunteering role that members of the public can apply for, which we require a questionnaire to be completed for. This only captures personal information that is relevant to the particular role including contact details and availability.
Where do we hold your data?
Your data is captured and held electronically on a dedicated server that is password protected and regularly backed up.
Who has access to your personal data?
Only our very small team of known and trusted admin volunteers.
These volunteers follow strict procedures to protect the privacy of your data.
How long do we keep your personal data for?
Homing Questionnaires (HQs) for homed cats
HQs relating to homed cats are kept on file for reference purposes in case we need to contact you for any reason. Please inform us via email (enquiries@rescueremedies.co.uk) of any changes to your contact details so that we can keep them up to date.
Homing Questionnaires (HQs) not resulting in a homing
These may be kept on file in the event that we don’t currently have a suitable cat for you and you would like us us to contact you again if we get in a new cat that may be of interest to you. If your application has been unsuccessful the forms will be deleted within a maximum of 6 months.
Volunteering Questionnaires
Successful applications will be kept on file and unsuccessful ones will be deleted within 6 months.
Gift Aid Forms
These will be kept on file in case of future donations.
Our commitment to you relating to your data.
We do not let any third party have access to it and we do not use it to direct market to you.
If at any time you wish to review the data we hold about you you can do so by applying in writing. You can also request that the data is deleted again by applying in writing to the address below. Please note that we will not be able to delete records relating to RR cats you have homed for traceability purposes.
